Does Reebok offer instructors any ways to get involved with the brand?

Instructors are encouraged to apply for the Reebok Alliance program at www.reebok.com/alliance.  When Reebok requires instructors, trainers and coaches, we use this as a resource to identify top talent. So, the Reebok Alliance is a collection of the top fitness professionals from around the world involved with the Reebok brand on a variety of projects, programs and events.  Additionally, this is a resource for product specifically designed for instructors, trainers, coaches and fitness professionals.

How much content, movements, exercises and choreography does an instructor receive during the JUKARI Fit to Fly training workshop?

Instructors, in the two-day training workshop, are provided a significant amount of content to help guide classes, including movements, exercises and progressions to refer to as well as photos and video support.  Furthermore, Reebok and Cirque du Soleil encourage instructors to use their creativity and knowledge to support the solid base of knowledge acquired at a training workshop.  From there, every six months, Reebok and Cirque du Soleil provide updated content, material, movements, progressions, and music to help infuse new challenges and creativity into the class and for the instructor.

Do instructors get continuing education credits for attending a JUKARI Fit to Fly workshop?
Yes.  Currently instructors receive 1.0 CECs for ACE.   We are investigating additional organizations to apply the education.
What is the cost per instructor for training workshops?

The two-day JUKARI Fit to Fly training workshop is $695 USD and includes:

§       Preparation & Introduction of the training

§       Use of equipment

§       Infusion of Cirque du Soleil Experience

§       Terminology of Moves

§       Use of Music

§       Basic Exercises, Modifications & Progressions

§       Testing & Performance

§       Class structure & outcomes

I want to get qualified to teach JUKARI Fit to Fly.  Is this possible?

We are searching for JUKARI Fit to Fly instructors.  They must have the following qualities: 

§       Education in Exercise Science and Certification by a recognized governing body

§       An established relationship with members

§       Image: stylish and fit

§       Classes: well attended and at prime times

§       Reputation: motivating, innovative & fun

§       Lead by demonstration

§       Variety of classes they teach includes choreography-based classes

§       English comprehension

What does the FlySet include?

§         3-stranded rope, polyester cover – safe, durable

§         Swivel point – for 360 degree movement

What equipment is required for JUKARI Fit To Fly?
The workout experience has been created on a specially-designed piece of equipment called the FlySet. The result is a workout that gives the sensation of flying while strengthening and lengthening the body through cardio, strength, balance and core training.
How is JUKARI Fit To Fly different than other suspension based classes, like TRX?
This workout experience is the first time in group fitness that includes equipment that provides suspension based strength training with cardiovascular and plyometric conditioning.  All with the one piece of equipment, the FlySet. 
Is JUKARI Fit To Fly a versatile class with a lot of different movements?  Or, a specialized class with a few primary movements?
JUKARI Fit to Fly classes are extremely versatile.  Participants seamlessly move from jumping, lunging, spinning, hanging, pulling, pushing, flexing, extending, stretching and balancing in 60, 45, or 30 minute classes.
How is JUKARI Fit To Fly different from other group fitness classes?
With JUKARI Fit to Fly, Reebok and Cirque du Soleil create a liberating, fun, physically challenging, transformational, and sensorial training experience.  Each class is inspired by Cirque du Soleil, brought to life through a thoughtful, calculated progression of exercises. By combining the exercises with fluid movement, participants will develop new movement capabilities.

Is there a product collection from Reebok partnering with Cirque du Soleil? 

To complement JUKARI Fit to Fly, Reebok has also created a collection of women’s fitness apparel and footwear called the Reebok-Cirque du Soleil collection. The collections contain versatile pieces that can be mixed and matched together or integrated into every woman’s daily wardrobe, providing a fashionable and contemporary fitness range that can be worn both in and out of the gym.

Is JUKARI Fit To Flya circus training class?

This is not a circus training experience. The class is meant to allow consumers to experience progression in fitness, strength and flexibility.  It is not meant to offer lessons in trapeze, contortion or other circus arts.  It does, however, draw its inspiration from the movements and performances of Cirque du Soleil artists.  

What is JUKARI Fit To Fly™ ?
JUKARI Fit to Fly isn’t just fun to take part in, it is an effective hour-long total body workout of cardio, strength, balance and core training. A qualified instructor guides a class of 12 to 20 people through the workout using equipment called a FlySet. The FlySet hangs from the gym ceiling and has been designed specifically for JUKARI Fit to Fly.
Why did Reebok partner with Cirque du Soleil? 

In early 2008, the two brands came together with a single objective – make fitness fun again for women. They embarked on a journey to create an inspirational workout that would shake up and invigorate a woman’s gym routine.
