I purchased these shoes due to the basic design and versatility. I needed a shoe that was a relatively non elevated shoe for parkour performance. These turned out to be a good shoe in that the sole was one piece instead of multiple pieces which seem to be common now. While the sole is minimal it provided enough shock absorption to protect your knees but the sole was not to this that is did not allow you to feel the wall or surface you were landing on. In parkour this is very important. The shoe is light, it has enough ventilation to keep your feet cool, allows you to feel the surface under your feet but unlike true specific running shoes they do not have to much spring and a thick sole which can be extremely detrimental in parkour. Overall, I feel this shoe would be an excellent style for the beginner parkour who is not for certain if they will stay with the sport. But I would purchase this shoe again just due to the comfort of everyday wear and the low profile look. I really do not enjoy extreme multi-color runners or cross-trainers of any type. The break-in time on these shoes were minimal and very comfortable from the time I first put them on.
